Today we are excited to share the new design of the TradeSailer 120, a fresh step forward in efficient, wind-powered coastal cargo vessels. The TradeSailer 120 brings together thoughtful naval architecture and practical simplicity to meet the needs of modern coastal trade.

Designed for and in collaboration with Steven Woods from Bay State Sail Freight, the TradeSailer 120 is laid out for reliable sailing in all conditions. A versatile ketch rig, tall main mast and smaller mizzen are paired with hydrodynamically shaped rudder and keel, giving a balanced sail plan across all points of sail. The proportions and relatively narrow beam reduce resistance and improve sea motions while keeping performance strong.
The exterior layout supports efficient cargo handling with sliding access hatches to the main hold, a spacious bosun store for sails and gear and an integrated cargo crane with dedicated boom. On deck, the semi-enclosed wheelhouse enables full control of lines and steering from a practical helm station, with all sail handling led aft for ease of operation.
Below deck, the TradeSailer 120 focuses on practical accommodation for coastal operations. Thoughtful interior design includes crew cabins, functional galley and essential facilities, all designed to support shorter coastal trips with comfort and utility in mind.
This vessel is designed by our naval architects to CE-A requirements and reflects a clear commitment to advancing wind-assisted shipping with solutions that are simple, robust and purpose-built.
